| In this mode you just play until your stack reaches the top. |
| Challenge |
| In this mode you can fight all the Johto Gym Leaders and the Elite Four. You can Unlock extra Pokémon to use in battle. This is one of the best modes and it can get very challenging on "Hard" difficulty or higher. |
| Time Zone |
| In this mode you try and get a high score in a certain amount of time. |
| Line Clear |
| In this mode you you play until a line appears, then you try and get your blocks under that line to clear the stage. |
| Puzzle |
| In this mode you have a certain amount of blocks to clear in a certain amount of moves, and you'll need to think quite a lot and use chains and combos to clear them. |
| Garbage |
| In this mode you have to clear the garbage blocks that fall down from above and you play until your stack reaches the top. |
| Two-Player |
| In this mode you can battle your friend over link cable in 2P Versus, Time Zone and Line clear mode. |
