James belongs to Team Rocket, a gang of Pokémon thieves. He works together
with Jessie and their talking Pokémon Meowth. James is usually bossed about
by Jessie. He usually dresses up as a girl when he and Jessie and James disguise
themselves, while Jessie is always the mann. Team Rocket's goal is to steal rare or
powerful Pokémon for their boss Giovanni, but they never have any luck,
and are usually blasted off by some kind of explosion.
James comes from a rich family. He left home when his parents wanted him to marry Jezebel (who looks a lot like Jessie), leaving his faithful Growlithe to guard his family. After running away from home he goes to the Poké Tech, where he and Jessie get the worst marks ever. Then he and Jessie joined the bike gang of Sunny Town, where James was known as "Little Jim", as he was the only member that used stabillisers. After leaving the bike gang he joined Team Rocket. Later James returns home, as he finds out that his parents are dead. But his parents only tricked him, and they try to make him marry Jezebel again, but James is saved by his Growlithe, and returns to Team Rocket. |
